These easy, homemade Piroshki are so delicious. With refreshing tomato dip, they are simply a perfect dinner.

Ingredients:
  • Dough:
  • 17.5 Fl. oz. Water
  • 2.2 Pounds Flour
  • 1 tsp. Yeast
  • 2.4 cup Yogurt
  • 1 tbsp. Sugar
  • Salt
  • Filling:
  • 2.2 Pounds Potato
  • Turmeric, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 2 Large Onion
  • 8.8 oz. Butter
  • Salt, to taste
  • Dip:
  • 7 oz. Tomato paste
  • Water
  • A handful of fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 Clove Garlic, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 Large Lemon, juice
Directions:

Add water, sugar, yeast, and salt into a big bowl, and mix.

Add yogurt, and wheat flour and knead the dough. Add vegetable oil and knead the dough until homogenous.

Dice the onions. Fry them in butter until translucent.

Cook the potatoes in salted water. Mash them when cooked.

Add the fried onions to a bowl and add salt, pepper, and turmeric, and add this mixture to the mashed potatoes.

Make small pieces from the dough. Take a piece and make a flat, round dough and add a piece of filling into the dough. Close the dough so, that the filling will be kept inside.

Put oil into a bigger pan and heat. Add the Piroshki into the oil and fry until golden brown.

Prepare the dip-Mix tomato paste with water, fresh chopped dill, chopped garlic, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice.

Enjoy the fried buns with the dip.
