This Chinese Style Sautéed Deep Fried Shrimp (or Prawns) recipe takes only 30 minutes to prepare. It’s deep fried until they are crispy and then sautéed in a savory sauce. YUM!
Chinese Style Sautéed Deep Fried Shrimp

Ingredients:
- 2 oz. large shrimp
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 1 tbsp green onion, minced
- 3 cup corn oil (deep fry)
- 1 tbsp cooking wine
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tbsp rice wine
- ½ tbsp oyster sauce
- ½ tbsp sesame oil

Clean up shrimp by cutting out whiskers and legs first. Then devein using a toothpick. Please refer to the video.

In a large saucepan over high heat, fry shrimp at 480-540°F/250-280°C for about a minute (until shrimp shells start turning pink), then transfer with a slotted spoon to a container.

Re-fry at 480-540°F/250-280°C until shrimp turn pink; transfer to a container and drain.

In a large skillet at medium heat, add olive oil, ginger and green onion; stir until fragrant. Stir in cooking wine, soy sauce, sugar, salt, rice, and wine.

Add in oyster sauce and shrimp; stir fry until shrimp are well coated with sauce mixture. Add sesame oil and mix well.

Final Notes
We recommend you to use whole, shell-on shrimp for this recipe, preferably with the heads still in tact. Do not cut the shell open, or the shrimp will dry out.
