Easy Almond Cake

This easy cake baked only with a few ingredients is a perfect dessert. It is a light cake made of eggs and boosted with cream as light and delicious as a dream. Topped with roasted almond slices it is an amazing combination for a sweet and delectable pampering.

Ingredients:
  • Cake:
  • 5 Large Eggs
  • 4 tbsp. Milk
  • 11 tsp. Cooking oil
  • 8 tbsp. Cake flour
  • 1 tbsp. Lemon juice
  • 4 tbsp. Sugar
  • Cream:
  • 4 tbsp. Unsalted butter
  • 1/4 tsp. Sea salt
  • 2 tbsp. Sugar
  • 0.87 cup Whipping cream
  • Topping:
  • 1 cup Sliced Almond
Directions:

Roast the almond slices on a tray for 8 minutes at 360°F/180°C.

Separate the egg whites from the egg yolks. Mix the yolks with milk and oil. Then add the cake flour and mix it properly.

Add lemon juice to the egg whites and whip with an egg beater. When partially whipped add the sugar to it and whip until it forms a hard foam.

Mix the white and the yolk mixes together. Bake for 25 minutes at 320°F/160°C.

Mix the butter, salt, and sugar. Then add the whipping cream and beat until it is creating a fine cream.

Cut the baked cake into 2 equal parts. Add the cream to the top of one of the cakes. Then add the other part of the cake to create a sandwich. Paste the remaining cream to the top of the cake and sprinkle with the baked almond slices. Enjoy!
