  • 1 lb. Beef flank steak
  • Marinade
  • 1 tbsp. Ground black pepper
  • 0.25 cup Soy sauce
  • 1 count Egg
  • 1 tbsp. Corn Starch
  • For Vegetables & Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp. Cooking oil
  • 2 oz. Chopped onion
  • 2 oz. Chopped red bell pepper
  • 1 oz. Minced garlic
  • 2 oz. Minced celery
  • 2 oz. Minced carrot
  • 1 oz. Minced cilantro
  • 1 tbsp. Soy sauce
  • 0.5 tbsp. Oyster sauce
  • 0.5 tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp. Cooking oil
  • 0.5 count Lemon
  • 2 cup Water
  • 2 tbsp. Cornstarch Water (2 Tbsp Cornstarch Mixed With 1 Tbsp Water)
  • 1 cup Julienned green onion

Slice the Beef: Cut the beef flank steak into 1.5-inch wide strips along the grain.

Then, slice each strip thinly against the grain for tender pieces.

Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine the beef slices with 1 tbsp. ground black pepper, 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1 egg, and 1 tbsp. cornstarch. Mix well and set aside for 10 minutes to marinate.

Prepare the Vegetables: Cut the red bell pepper into triangle-shaped pieces and the onion into square-shaped pieces. Julienne the green onion into thin strips.

Mince the celery, carrot, cilantro, and garlic.

Cook the Beef: Heat 2 tbsp. cooking oil in a wok over high heat. Stir-fry the marinated beef until no longer pink (about 3-4 minutes). Remove from the wok and set aside.

Make the Sauce: Return the wok to the heat and add the minced garlic, celery, carrot, and cilantro. Stir-fry for 1 minute. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and 1 tsp. black pepper. Add 2 cups water, then stir to combine.
