Ingredients:

Pie Shells
2 cups + 2 tbsp All-Purpose Flour
1 tbsp. Sugar
1 tsp. Salt
8 oz. Unsalted Butter (cold, cubed butter)
2 oz. Cold Water
Pie Filling
5 Large Apple, peeled and diced
1/2 cup Sugar (brown, white or mixed)
1 Lemon, Juiced
1½ tbsp. Flour
3 tbsp. Butter
For The Top Crust
2 tbsp. Milk, for brushing top crust.
2 tbsp. Sugar (granulated or turbinado sugar)

Directions:

Step 1

Pre heat the oven to 180°C / 350°F.

Step 2

In the bowl of an electric mixer or food processor, put flour, sugar, and salt. Mix to blend.

Step 3

Cut the chilled butter into small chunks and add it to the mixer, mix with the flour until the butter is the size of a pea-sized.

Step 4

Then slowly stream in chilled water, stopping the mixer when dough starts to form a ball.

Step 5

Separate the dough into two patties, press them and form two round discs.

Step 6

Wrap two patties and put in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. Note : you can keep up to two days in the fridge, or two months in the freezer tightly wrapped.
