Korean Army Base Stew | Budae-Jjigae

The Korean Army Stew (Budae-Jjigae) is a hot pot dish that is very nutritious and delicious at the same time. You can throw all your leftovers into one pot and cook them. It is based on ham, sausages, ground beef, beans, tofu, and kimchi altogether with the noodles and cheddar cheese create this dish so tasty, that would make you feel satisfied for a long time. Ingredients:
  • Base:
  • 1 Can Ham(small size)
  • 4 Large Sausages
  • 2.1 oz. Ground beef
  • 3 tbsp. Baked beans
  • 1/2 cup Rice cake
  • 1/2 Large Tofu
  • 1/2 Large Green onion
  • 1/3 Large Onion
  • 1 cup Kimchi
  • 1 Sliced Sliced cheddar cheese
  • 4 cup Beef bone broth
  • 1 Pack of Instant Ramen noodle
  • Beef Marinade:
  • 1/2 tbsp. Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. Cooking wine
  • 1 tsp. Minced garlic
  • Pepper to taste
  • Sauce:
  • 1 tbsp. Red pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp. Red pepper paste
  • 1 tbsp. Soy sauce for soup
  • 1 tbsp. Minced garlic
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
Directions:

Cut the tofu and kimchi. Slice the green onion and onion.

Cut ham and sausage. Pour hot water on them to remove oil. Marinate the beef for about 10 minutes.

Put ham, sausage, green onion, kimchi, onion, tofu, beef, and beans in the pot. Then mix the sauce ingredients, pour beef bone broth, and boil for 5 minutes.

Put the Ramen noodles and cheese in, and cook until it's cooked.

Serve with rice. Enjoy!
