In a large non-stick frying pan on a medium-high heat, add vegetable oil and leave to get hot. To test if the oil is hot enough, carefully drop a piece of squid into the pan – if it sizzles and turns golden, it’s ready. Gently add squid slices and fry until golden brown. Transfer onto the paper towel and season with salt and pepper.

Halve the avocado, then scoop the flesh onto a plat. Smash it with a fork, add lime zest & lime juice, and season with salt. Mix well.
