It is the story of the youngest parents and oldest child in the world… 16 year old boy, Ahreum has Progeria Syndrome, a rare genetic defect that will cause the baby to show rapid aging from an early age. Although Ahreum has struggled with the disease, he was raised as a brilliant young child more than anyone else. Young parents, Mira (SONG Hye-kyo) and Dae-su (KANG Dong-won) are still in their early 30s who had Ahreum when they both were 17 years old, sometimes act immature but they never expressed their sorrow. Ahreum only has a few month to live, and Mira and Dae-su want to deny the reality. Although knowing that he does not have much time left, they appear on a fundraising TV show in hopes of raising enough money for his medical care. Ahreum’s appearance on TV brings everyone’s attention, and he becomes pen pals with a teenager girl who’s also suffering from a disease watching the show. Exchanging letters with her becomes the joy of his days. But his body becomes more weary from aging, and he even loses his vision…

Brilliant In-Depth Look at a Family
True love and intimacy is rooted in devotion, unconditional love and sensitivity to one another. The story will make you cry not only because of the sadness but because of three ordinary people who rise to the occasion to be individuals who show uncommon courage and strength and demonstrate what true love is really all about. There is a lot of depth here if that is what you are looking for.

A must watch movie!!
I saw the movie on the plane and had to buy it immediately. It’s such a wonderful movie. Beautifully acted and moving storyline. The parting words of that boy at the end had me broke down in tears and I never cry.

It deserves 5 stars
It had a lot of happy moments but also very sad and emotional ones too. I think it just makes you think real hard on what you should be grateful for and it sends out a bunch of morals. I cried so much throughout this entire film happy tears and also sad tears but this was an amazing film and it deserves 5 stars. You guys should watch it too.
