Ingredients:
  • 1 Whole Chicken
  • 1 Qt. Water
  • 2 Stalks American ginseng
  • 3 Slices Dried Chinese yam
  • 3 Oz. Ham
  • 1/2 Tbsp Dried goji berries

Use a medium-sized casserole, put the chicken into the pot, pour in water, add American ginseng, Chinese yam, and ham. Turn on high heat first, after it boils, remove the foam and scum floating on the surface of the water.

Reduce heat and simmer for 35-40 minutes. Add goji (wolfberry) and cook for additional 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and serve warm.
