Ingredients:
  • 1 large White pomfret
  • tbsp Shaoxing wine
  • 1 large Ginger, sliced
  • 4 stalks Green onions, cut into 1/2 inch pieces.
  • tbsp Supreme soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Julienne green onion
  • 1 tbsp Red bell pepper, sliced
  • ¼ tsp White pepper
  • ¼ cup Cooking oil

Cut one side into a pattern like a willow leaf veins. Make two angled cuts on another side

Put two bamboo skewers on the plate, and put the fish on the top, so the fish will be cooked evenly on both sides and done faster.

Place ginger slices and green onion segments on top, then drizzle with Shaoxing cooking wine.

Bring the steamer to a boil over high heat, then put in the fish and steam for 10-12 minutes.

Remove the plate from the steamer, discard the ginger slices, green onion, and the liquid in the plate. Place the fish on a serving plate, pour the supreme soy sauce around the fish, and put the julienned green onion and red pepper on top, sprinkle with ground white pepper.

In a small pot over medium heat, heat the oil, and pour it on the julienned green onion and red pepper.

Note: Serve the fish immediately after steaming. The timing of steaming is critical.
